I am loving the book "EAT, PRAY, LOVE" by Elizabeth Gilbert, God, and balancing life

I am glad I decided to get the book “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert instead of rushing out and seeing the movie. The book is her memoir about the trip she took to Italy, Indonesia and India (the three Is she called it) after her divorce. She went to Italy for beauty, to India for spirituality and to Indonesia to learn how to balance to two.
So to know more read the book, and go see the movie as well just for fun.

In the book when I got to the part where she mentioned some of the many names used for God around the world, I thought about something my Grand-ma said to me when I was around six years old, when I asked her if all the religions have a different God. She told me, all the different religious worship the same God, and their religious practices are their ways of worshiping God; I though that was great and that God must be thrilled to have so many religions. Now I can include spiritual practices to that since I was clueless about them back then. It also helped reconciled the fact that I felt bad that we were always asked to say prayers the Christian way even though my schools had more Muslim student.

A week ago when Alanis was on Chelsea Lately, Chelsea asked her what religion was she or what she believed, Alanis' response was that "the truth of who we are innate goodness and the whole journey is all about removing any obstacle or false belief that keeps us from knowing that"

So the goal is the enjoy life, find ways to deal with obstacles and negativity and stay grounded. That is message that the universe is giving me these days. Why else I am hearing all this.
