Good bye Dear Annie...You were really my friend

Today I had to say see you later not good bye to my dear friend Annie. Two weeks after I met her at Mountain View United Methodist Church, she said to me," I like you, you are my friend'. From that day on, we sat next to each other at coffee hour after church on Sundays.

As we got to know each other, I found out we are both Gemini, which explained a lot, as we always had stories to share courtesy of our gifts for the gab. We also shared the  gift for making an ordinary dull event sounds most interesting.

I love that Annie loved and cherished the people she loved especially her family. I love that she was already planning her Christmas gift list.  She loved life, she loves to sing,  to laugh, and  to eat.

I am going to miss our weekly conversation and her knack for keep my spirit up as I share my weekly dilemma with job hunting and recently the crush.. As she said what meant to be will be and the right job is out there for me and it will be greater than I expect.

I wish Annie was here in person to see how this unfold but I bet she already knows as she is now on the magical  side and will be right here with me as I experience it.

Another Mass Shooting

This latest mass shooting should be taken as a wake up call, to remind us that we are in this world together. Today, a woman was killed by her one of her sons who then went on to kill the kids  she taught. As the nation focus on gun control and people hug their kids tighter, we must not forget the kids or adults  that are struggling and lost. We must get to them before they hurt others and themselves.

Regarding: The Half Sky documentary

The PBS program Independence Lens' documentary "The Half Sky" has me thinking again that  the problems facing girls that is being  highlighted stem from the worldwide view of girls and women as "second class citizen";  the view that holds that we are  less than boys and men, properties to do with whatever one pleases and here on this earth only to serve men.

For rape, human trafficking, lack of education for girls, and lack of opportunity for woman to end, society's mentally about a woman's role must change.  We must all watch how we treat both sexes, and what role we expect each to play in society.  We must start seeing each person as human being, each with his or her own gifts to contribute to society in whatever capacity they chose.

It is great that there are many organizations working to bring these problems to light and to combat it, and I hope laws will be create to help make those committing rape and human trafficking accountable. If you want to help find out more here at PBS.org

But there is another way we can all help, we must hold each other accountable by speaking up against and discouraging one another for making comments and doing things that downgrade women and girl to second class citizen.

What to consider as we reach our higher self

Pat Monahan asks  "As you move towards reaching your higher self, are you sure that you considered EVERYthing?" He mentioned ignore and hurting others as he touches others positively doing what he loves.

I do believe everything that should work out will but the catch is, how do we know what will and what will not, or maybe we are not to know.  As we move towards our higher selves, we will have to let go of things, people and behaviors that stands in our way and that will create some problems for those in our lives. I think to create harmony it will all comes down to balance, compromise and setting rules we and the people in our life must adhere to. In the end we are all here to fulfill our soul's purpose and the way others reaction to our life plans is part of what they as well as we are here to experience. We will never be able to avoid causing pain to ourselves or others as we are humans. So everything that should will work out, the rest will be saved for another lifetime.
Also, what happens when we reach our higher self, is it the end, or the beginning? or do we continue and experience life but on a different spiritual plan.
