I think it is on its way-Spring

I woke at the crack of dawn, and saw birds playing on the lawn. I felt strong radiant energy from the sun, and noticed the delayed arrival of dusk. Yes, yes, yes, spring is definitely on its way.

Entering 2012 sick...

I started 2012 with the flu which evolved from a cold that started on the last Tuesday of 2011. As I see it, this is my body's way of getting rid of all the crap that happened to me in 2011 and the years before it. If this is not true, why did 101 temperature and chills visit me during the wee hours of the last Thursday of 2011 especially since everyone and everything knows unwanted visitors are never welcomed? 2012 is a year of new beginnings whether I like it or not, and I hope circumstances bring me opportunities that will help me enhance all areas of my life especially the professional, spiritually and financially ones.

Day after Holiday coma

I am hoping to sleep like a saint tonight ( not all babies sleep well), this was a holiday of paling around with two set of twins,celebrating with friends in two towns 90miles apart and eating four desserts, three simultaneously.. I am now in a lactose-induced coma and it is great. Tomorrow I will get back to exercise, french, guitar scales, micro-soft programs and bulot-finding. Happy Merry Holiday.. Until 2012

Two organizations and counting.. I am getting close...

I am still at it Friends, I am glad to say I am making more contacts with every industry event I attend and the best part of it all, I am learning a lot. Not only I am learning about the current happenings in my industry, I am also learning about how people are navigating the workplace and are succeeding in their roles. I recently attended an early careerist boot-camp organized by the Healthcare Leaders of New York and after the event, I was pleased that I had the opportunity to participate in 'industry speak'. I am looking forward to this coming Wednesday because I will get to do the same an event organized by my other professional organization, Women in Health management. I also have an important meeting that day before the event and more to come about that, I can say is fingers crossed. x0x0x

Networking has me.

Last Thursday, I went to my first Women in Health Management event in New York City, and I am certain that I will benefit professional and personal from this organization.

On Monday I went to a seminar organized by the New Jersey chapter my other professional organization (Association of Health care executives). The focus of the talks I attended were customer service in health care and mapping your career. I learned a lot, picked up great tips and made some contacts.
Today I am back at it; Job-hunting. I emailed my resume to my two new contacts, two men that holds the same degree as me, and have built a successful career health care using it. I have my fingers and toes crossed that they will be able to guide my search.

My main goal is to continue to find professional work (I might get a part-time one to earn money) and when I get one, I will move on to finding a mentor and a career coach to help me reach my career goals.
I am happy that I am now part of this organization and I am grateful for all that they will afford me.

Loving Jane Austen's voice

I am falling in love with Jane Austen's work all over again thanks to my friends and tweeter pals. I started reading Pride and Prejudice again and I can't wait to devour it and the rest of her work.
